We were all pretty excited at Summer Rain when Proof of Concept delivered his new EP to us, not only does it contain fresh content in his familiar style that we have come to expect from him, it also contains a host of remixes from some pretty cool audio weavers, our very own Mr. Squirrel delivers an interesting take, a cool rendition from the talented Dave Graham, and a fresh cut on the original from Lester Diamond.

Guitarplayerkeypunchermouseclickerfaderslidercoffeeconsumer is how Griff describes himself, but if that doesn’t give you a clue to his musical style, then imagine Quantic and Bonobo having a musical child, this is probably how it would sound. Fresh, organic, lightly jazzy grooves that provide a perfect introduction to Griff’s sound.

Dulceflur - Charcoal Flowers EP

Dulceflur’s debut release with Summer Rain is a collection of soft, soothing, cinematic textures, and soundscapes that both calm and inspire. This EP leaves us looking forward to delivering more of Dulceflur’s soundscapes and exploring more of his auditory world that Charcoal Flowers has introduced us to.

Every now and then you come across an artist who’s music gently grabs your attention and makes you listen intently, drawing you in with intricate twists and timbres, that slowly unfold and unravel into a masterpiece. Whatever You Hear is Simplified to Life is one of those examples, a beautifully woven one at that.

HipGnosis - What’s In A name EP

Glitched out, raw trip hop/hip hop is the theme of HipGnosis’ first release with Summer Rain. If you like your beats broken, mashed, and served with crate dug melodies, then this EP will fit right in to your collection.

The second release from He Waits by the Tree builds on the beauty of his first, combining lush, intricate layers and textures, that culminate to create a magical and elaborate auditory world to explore.

The good people over at all4mp4 have just added 14 free mp3HD tracks from Summer Rain to their mp3 HD feature page for you to download.

These tracks are in HD format, so the sound quality is pretty impressive compared to standard mp3, and they also provide a free plugin for winamp to enable you to hear the tracks in full HD.

Dream Rhythm - Heart Patter Recognition EP

PassePartout an’ Kler - Chromatic Elation EP

PassePartout an” Kler’s second EP on Summer Rain brings you more beautiful, thought provoking soundscapes. Whilst clearly inspired by the European Shoegaze sound, PassePartout an’ Kler have their own unique style present through all of their music.

We have been following Artists House Music (@artistshouse) on twitter for the last few weeks, and we have to say it’s been worth doing so, as they provide an excellent source of music industry news, info, and tips.
